Keystone is an international online high school.
It's safe, but it's not easy.

You'd really have to buckle down and do school 5 days a week to do it properly.

Also- it's like $250-300 a class but you won't be taking as many classes as you would at a regular school.

You can take a really basic math class, it's super easy.


I will say- I went to this school, and it was a lot harder to stay disciplined than I thought it would be. I got straight As in real high school, and I thought staying focused would be no problem for me. It ended up being really hard, and I got really behind. It all worked out in the end, but you would seriously need someone to MAKE SURE you were getting work done every day.

Keystone is one of those places where, you get out of it what you put into it. Even more so than in regular high school.

OH and if you hate writing, Keystone may not be for you. Since everything is open book, you have to write A LOT of essays to prove you really understand it all.

First coast academy is a good online school i just graduated from it last year and you pay like 45 a month and they ship you the books and stuff like one book at a time when u get finished with a book you get another one and so on. To answer your last question it depends on how many credits you got in high school and to see how your speed is with the courses. There is also more if you dont like that school.

The only distance education (online & correspondence) schools here are the ones run by the Christian schools (see below); and then only if you live in NSW, WA or Qld. There's nothing whatsoever if you live in SA, NT, Vic, ACT or Tassy. Sorry.

To be homeschooled in SA, NT, Vic, ACT or Tassy, you're only option is to homeschool 'properly' i.e. as defined by the law* and that means you have to be taught by your parent (or parent substitute) or by a state licensed teacher who is directly employed by your parent.

( * doing online school is not homeschooling under Aussie law; it is distance education. If you were to join an online school, Aussie law would see you as a private school student who just happened to do school at home rather than a 'true' homeschooler.)

Also if you happen to live near Fraser Coast or Wide Bay, there is a further school run by Hervey Bay Christian Academy in Pialba, but they don't seem to have a website.

If you and your mum want a non-Christian school, the only one is the School of Distance Ed in Brissy ( http://www.brisbanesde.eq.edu.au ) but that's pretty much only if you live in Qld, goes part-online and part by correspondence, and costs something like $3,000 a year.

As long as the online school accepts students from your state, some online schools have restrictions about which states they can accept students from. I know that Charity Christian Academy will not accept students from Arizona, California, New York, or Tennessee.
