First there are ZERO ABA approved online paralegal study programs since what you learn in the classroom which follows the ABA academic curriculum is not possible to learn online. Additionally, many places will not hire someone with a degree or certificate in this field that was not ABA approved (including myself.) As long as you have a degree that's a start. The problem is having that one place open the door for you to get the experience. The majority of law firms and even small offices require a minimum of 1 year exp

There are no online schools that are approved by the ABA. You really need to go to a campus program that is approved, because many employers want the approval. I am also switching careers to paralegal, and it took lots of research for me to find the school. I chose a community college that is approved and has an internship.

Another thing that you should know is that the employers want experience more than anything. So, having an online class is probably going to be even worse in that respect because you have no interaction in the classroom that you can relate to the job. I am concerned about this need for experience, and have been told that new grads often have to start out in other jobs in the firms.

That depends upon you that are you willing enough to take that much load on you. On the other hand you can do that but best would be if you take weekend online schools.
